Rigid engine design is offered at Power House Marina

Volvo Penta marine diesels are robust and immensely strong for minimal vibrations and a long service life. The engine block and the one piece cylinder head are designed to enhance rigidity.

To further strengthen the design, a ladder frame is bolted to the base of the engine block (D3-D12). The in-line configuration allows room for a well-dimensioned crankshaft with large bearing surfaces.

D11 Recall Campaign

At Power House we are determined to give our customers the best service. That being said we came across this recall from Volvo Penta .  After examining the cable routing on Volvo Penta D11 marine engines, it has been identified that the alternator cable may rub against the return pipe for oil from the turbo. There is also a risk that the cables might abrade against sharp edges at the alternator. NOTICE! In certain cases this may cause a shortcircuit in the electrical system. A short circuit is a fire and explosion hazard.
